Is Israel done with his job in Lebanon?

The recent cease-fire between the Hezbollah and Israel, has given relief to hundreds of thousands of civilians of both the side of borders. Both the parties involved in the conflict are declaring victorious to themselves, but it looks like the Hezbollah has upper hand compared to Israel. If you want to look at from Hezbollah side the conclusion is that even after almost 30 days of conflict with one of the worlds highly powerful defense service, hezbollah is surviving and the Israel could not make any major damage to Hezbollah in terms of its popularity in Lebanon and among other Arab countries. In fact its has grown up. Hezbllah will continue to enjoy the support of locals in Lebanon and in other Muslims countries.

On the other hand if we look at the situation from Israel's side, they have done significant damage to Hezbollah's infrastructure in Lebanon. Also Lebanon is completely being destroyed. The progress made by the Lebanon in last 6 years is now being wiped out. Now Lebanese have to go back 6 years and rebuild the city.

That makes me feel that it was the intention of Israel, that go and cripple the economy and infrastructure of a country who support the groups like Hezbollah. They knew its not possible for them to destroy an enemy who fights like thieves. So cripple the government who supports them and send them 5 years back.

If this was the intention of Israel then Israel is totally victorious and they are done with their job, but if there intention was to cripple Hezbollah then they are the big looser.

So its only time who is going to tell us who's side Lebanese, going to stand after the dust of war settles, and people get the deal with real life problems.

Should India take the same step as Israel?

Recently in some forums people asked this questions so many times that why India cannot take the same step as Israel takes against the extremist groups in middle est. The question is not "Should" India follow the path of Israel but the question "Can" India take the path of Israel. In my view India cannot take the steps which Israel is taking and the reason is well known to us. None of the Israel's enemy (Syria, Lebanon - Hezbollah, Iran etc) are as tactfully powerful as Israel. Israel can crush all its nebhour in any given day, because they have blanket support from USA.

On the other hand we have a nuclear powered neighbor who supports the terrorism. And if India takes the force as action it will be disastrous in long run. Because we cannot just attack on them and get away with that. There will be retaliation from Pakistan in the form of force and that will become a national agenda in Pakistan. We need intelligence power and that's the last option for country like India. We have seen the success of RAW in the past years, creation of Bangladesh, Operation Bluestar are some of them . But there were huge budget cuts for RAW in recent years.

We need to contain the terrorism and we need to isolate them. And the best thing is we should help Pakistani government to control the religious extremist in their own country. Diplomacy and Covert Action (here we can use the force) are the two best solution available. If you think we haven't got anything from that then I tell you if we have opted for the force we would have been in the for worst condition we are today.

Now here is my question if Israel had neighboring country like Pakistan, can dare to go bomb the country and come back?

I don't think so, Let me know what you think.
