Bribe for Body: Delhi Police Caught on Camera Accepting Bribe

Today I read a story in www.ndtv.com. As per the story a Delhi cop has asked and took Rs 26000 to give the body of a suicide victim. Man! Its not unexpected, there are many more events which go un reported. But it shows to what level police can go down. The cop is being caught on camera but they have ordered some investigation and if found guilty then some "strict" action will be taken. I don't know what else they need, as he is being caught on camera. Somehow I become very pessimist when it comes to "whether the victim will get the justice and the culprit will be punished".

We all agree and we all know that the corruption in India is at every level. You got legal things to done, you pay money, you got illegal things to done, pay money. As Indian we all (most of us, no offense) at some level are corrupt. The level of corruption might vary from person to person. Some times we don't mind paying 50 Rs to get a berth in train. Like this there are many events which happens in day todays life where we all encourage the corruption. May be corruption cannot be fully eliminated but it can be definitely controlled if media reports few more incidents like this every week (We all know there are so many incidents go unreported). If media takes initiative then we remove the corruption where people have to pay the money to get legal things done. And I think that will be huge relief to majority of people.
