RelianceIndiaCall vs AirtelCallHome
Some times back Airtel launched a service called "Airtel Call home" at https://www.airtelcallhome.com/. This service was there to give some competition to similar service from Reliance at http://www.relianceindiacall.com/. The calling rate at Reliance were somewhere close to 12.9 Cents per minutes, which was a huge, but was accepted as the call quality and availability was excellent. In addition there were no hidden charges. Well once Airtel came into market, its introductory offer was 7.9 Cents per minutes and double talk time which made a lot of user to shift from Reliance to Airtel. But it looks like Airtel was never ready for that no of users in such a small time and they faced a lot of problem and criticism from many users. e.g. There website crashed, there toll free no was virtually unavailable, users credit card got charged more than once and so on.
This indicates that upper management at Airtel has a very low foresight. Also tech team even dint do enough testing of website before launching it. It does not take a Rocket Science to have website up and running, just need to have proper resources and infrastructure. On the other hand Reliance was quick in responding to it, and introduced the new rates which were close to what Airtel got.
It seemed like the fate of Airtel was closed, and Reliance will be able to retain her monopoly, but in recent past (from mid of Jan) I got some positive response about Airtel and thinking of registering with them as there offer is quite impressive provided they live to the expectation. No matter how is the quality of Airtel but for sure they gave a second thought to Reliance and forced them to get the rates down. Though still Reliance suffers the absence of Double Talk (appropriate one) time offer from Airtel, but it will survive as the quality and service is still better at Reliance, but the case is not going to be the same always. I can see that Airtel is here to survive and give some tough time to Reliance. Who wins this Price war only time can tell but for now consumer is the one who is getting the benefit of it.

I have used Airtel services and have found no problem. In fact the voice quality is pretty good.

RelianceIndiaCall started cheating on billing
Since the call quality is too good, we hardly care about snags at some point of time. These snags are costing me at lot.
Recently I happen to notice a silence after dialing the destination # which is normal with a bad calling card. So I used to disconnect it. This happened very frequently and for some reason I have checked my account. These guys have started billing me for 4, 5, 30 secs which I have never even said hello.
When contacted customer care, they say that this is a valid call and they cannot refund these mins/$ to my account. Inspite several explanations of situations, those guys are too professional in their replies and they have cut/paste replies. So now I am trying to move out to other carrier who is better than reliance. Reliance is notorious for their business practices.
i have been using Airtel Call Home since the last yr...the quality was excellent with no probs...but the las couple of months, the calls get disconnected due to no reason and the reception and voice quality is not as good as it used to be-maybe due to the large number of subscribers...anyway I will be try Reliance and see whether its better
Few AirTel callhome marketing people called me and asked to signup for 4.2ct/m offer. The experience in registering is so horrible that I was asked to register twice using VISA and MASTERCARD without success. Both the accounts were charged and the customer care says they will refund me the amount. But what about the time that I spent on registering and calling the customer care. I already use reliance india call and even if the rates are little higher than AirTel, atleast I have peace of mind and do not hesitate to make online payments. The customer care service is nice and helpful (though I just called once since registering couple of years back).
So its definitely Reliance... forget AirTel
if you ask me ,reliance calling card is the best one around.have been using it for one year now and i get good voice quality,fast connections,and virtually zero call drops.i learnt that they slashed their effective calling rates this festive season to about 5.9 cents/min and are also giving away 120 mins free talktime to all their customers.Makes sense to go for it.

Well, I'm not too sure it's a trojan horse but it's what I think. Anyways, one of my friends messaged me on msn saying, "is this you ? lol" then gave me a link. I clicked on it and it was one of those things where you have to download it. So I did. (I know, I'm very gullible D:) So I went back on msn, the computer was doing tthings automatically by itself. Everytime I tried to message someone, as soon as I start typing, it sends the same thing. "is this you ? lol" then the link. It then starts sending to every single person who's online on my list. I shut down my laptop and I try again. It still keeps doing the same thing on my msn. The trojan horse is in my msn. Should I get rid of this virus by completely deleting my whole windows live messenger and reinstalling it again? I'm trying to get the simplest ways to get rid of this virus, besides restoring my laptop. Also can I have simple explanations with not too big words? I'm not really that intelligent, haha.
